The Heartbeat of Northeast Nebraska is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness, support, and raising funds to help those impacted by cardiovascular issues.
The vision of The Heartbeat of Northeast Nebraska is to support and collaborate with people who live in Norfolk and Northeast Nebraska who are impacted by matters of the heart. We want all people to live full, healthy, and long lives. Our goal is to increase awareness, to provide education and support, and to raise funds that will stay in this area to be used by our friends and neighbors impacted by cardiovascular issues.
Cardiovascular disease touches nearly every family in some way. It is the leading cause of death in the United States and around the world, affecting people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life. Behind every statistic is a parent, a child, a partner, or a friend navigating diagnosis, treatment, recovery, and the financial and emotional strain that follows.
The numbers reveal the weight of cardiovascular disease, not just in statistics, but in hospital rooms, kitchen tables, and moments of uncertainty. They remind us why awareness matters, why support changes lives, and why funding this work means standing beside families when they need it most.
AUGUST 2026
Each year we gather to raise funds to support those impacted by cardiovascular illness. Please stay tuned for more details for this year's event.
We are proud to support Northeast Nebraska by providing funds for testing and equipment to detect, identify, and prevent heart related conditions. Heart conditions do not discriminate, they can impact any age, demographic, or race, which is why our work is SO important. We are helping those who need care get access to the testing and support they need.
In the past year, The Heartbeat of Northeast Nebraska has provided complimentary Coronary Artery Calcium Testing. At risk patients were able to take advantage of this through a referral from their healthcare provider. The test detects early signs of coronary artery disease, even before symptoms appear. Approximately 150 of our family, neighbors, and friends benefited from this testing.
Our next endeavor will be donating funds to our community for at home sleep apnea testing.
